William Smith (born March 24, 1933 in Columbia, Missouri - July 5, 2021 in Los Angeles, California) was an American actor. A former CIA affiliate, Smith is known for portraying the main Russian military antagonist Col. Strelnikov in the film Red Dawn (which also starred Powers Boothe).
