"Wet and Wild" is the eleventh episode of the fourth season of Static Shock. It first aired on May 8, 2004.
Plot[]
Hotstreak and Aquamaria prepare to rob the people there for the Candide music collection. There Virgil and Richie have been waiting for Daisy and find out that Candide's producer is Bernie Rast. Just then the two villains attack but after a short fight Aquamaria gets captured at the hands of Static and Gear.Hoping to return to a normal life, Aquamaria agrees to undergo an experimental procedure designed to cure her of the Bang Baby mutations. However, the process is sabotaged by Hotstreak, who causes a power disruption that interferes with the treatment. As a result, Aquamaria's body destabilizes even further, turning her into a completely fluid, water-based form with no ability to solidify. In pain and furious over what’s happened to her, she lashes out at the city, threatening to unleash a catastrophic flood on Dakota. Static and Gear realize what’s gone wrong and race to stop the destruction. Working together, they develop an improvised solution: Gear recalibrates the lab equipment while Static uses his electrical powers to stabilize Aquamaria’s molecules long enough to administer a modified version of the cure. The plan succeeds, restoring her ability to retain solid form. Although deeply shaken by her experience, Aquamaria begins to recover, and the success of the modified treatment gives the heroes new hope that a permanent cure for Bang Babies may truly be within reach.
Continuity[]
- Donald Todd returns in the series finale, and his cure is completed by then.
