Thomasina Jefferson was the mayor of Dakota.

History

Following the Big Bang, Jefferson tried hard to keep the attention off Alva Industries. She did it as a personal favor for Alva, whose company had meant much to Dakota, and a scandal would mean massive layoffs. Worrying the mayor might cave in under the public's pressure, Alva ordered sensitive material to be removed anyway. The removal of the evidence meant that the grand jury concluded not to prosecute anyone in the Big Bang case.

Background information

The depicted subject bears the likeness of Thomasina Jefferson from the DC Comics; however, the DCAU character was never named on-screen, or otherwise. The title of this article is conjecture based on the character's likeness. In the Milestone comics, Thomasina Jefferson was a mayor struggling with gang violence. Unlike her portrayal in Static Shock, where the Big Bang is portrayed as an accident, in the comics, Jefferson was directly responsible for spiking tear gas with Quantum Juice to "solve" gang problems. Despite this becoming known, she remained mayor.
