Other Costume[]

This article needs an image of Kara's latest costume. Not necessarily in the infobox, (though the policy we've been following would dictate using it there) but definitely somewhere in the article. --BoneGnawer 17:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I've been meaning to do that -- on the infobox with a caption. Gimme a couple of minutes. You can pave way if you want. ― Thailog 17:39, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Our latest discussions dictate that Supergirl should have a picture of her most recognizable outfit, unless consensus says otherwise. Does anyone think the current pic should remain, or not — and why? The only reason I can think of is that her new uniform was featured in only two episodes, but I think this is really a matter of personal preference now... which I'm indecisive. ― Thailog 12:26, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Honestly, right now I'd say go with the most recognizable outfit (currently, there's a great on already on that page). While it's more in line with the discussion we've been having, my real reason is that the current one isn't very high quality. - NakedSamurai 18:32, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
It was taken from a TV broadcast. As soon as I get my dirty little hands on the season 2 DVD set, I'll start replacing those pics I uploaded. That is, unless you dirty lucky bastard don't beat me to it. :p ― Thailog 18:38, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

weakness issues[]

she's from Argo not Krypton (in the cartoon at least) how is she weakened by Kryptonite? in the Spin-off Comics (I know not Canon) she even states this fact and holds a Kryptonite knife in her hand Chasemarc (talk) 09:45, September 16, 2014 (UTC)

I think the creators said somewhere that Argoans are Kryptonian colonizers. --Tupka217 09:51, September 16, 2014 (UTC)

30th or 31st Century[]

In the article 30th & 31st seem to be used interchangeably. Goes from her being in the 31st to the 30th and back to the 31st. There needs to be some consistency. --Revan's Exile (talk) 09:56, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

That probably reflects that there wasn't any consistency in the TV series. Both were used; I'm not sure which was canon. --Tupka217 10:26, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
Just lovely. I hate crap like that. --Revan's Exile (talk) 11:55, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

Main quote[]

Ok, was told this type change requires discussion, so here I am. It might be just me, but I think there can be a better quote more suited as this article's main quote. The main ones I know of (admittedly taken from this Wiki)...

  1. "I don't believe it! A Super...girl?" - The current quote, said by Jimmy Olsen, from the two-part episode, Little Girl Lost. Now, if the current quote is "the best" to all Wiki users, I can't disagree with that.
  2. "Who, me? I'm not in trouble. And by the way, it's Supergirl. See? Super...girl." - From the same two-part episode, this time quoted from Kara herself.
  3. "Well, girl, you always wanted to save the world." - A second potential candidate.

And that's all folks! Shall we decide which course of action is best? -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 08:55, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

OK, it's been a week, and there are no oppositions (not even one) to this potential change. Therefore, I'm presuming the change is a go. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 16:58, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
I opposed after I reverted your edits. Neither quotes are good IMO, but you have failed to explain why the proposed one is better. ― Thailog 17:20, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
If neither quotes are good, then it shouldn't matter. And if it did, someone who cared would have commented on here to ensure a change wouldn't occur. And no offense, but a reverting of edits hardly counts as an opposition, especially when bringing it up on talk pages was the go-to option. Unless there is at least a third user who can put in their say, whether it's for or against a change, there should be no reason for a change. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 18:29, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
I wasn't referring to the reverting of edits as an opposition. I meant the discussion on my talk page.
The fact that no one else commented doesn't mean no one cared about the change. That can be read both ways. One could argue that the quote was fine as was and didn't feel the need to comment because you were the one who had to garner consensus to change the status quo, which you didn't do. You last statement proves my point.
Finally, changing one bad quote for another is not a good argument for the change. ― Thailog 19:08, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
That makes no sense, given what I was told to do: propose it in the talk page. Which can also mean that our personal talk pages shouldn't have any stake in the matter unless if brought up, which it wasn't on the talk page here. Regardless, the fact remains the same. One of us brought up a potential change, one person wants to oppose the change, that's normal. But if this continues to be an issue, there needs to be someone else can break the tie, otherwise this won't be resolved because it'll be two people engaged in an edit war that neither of us wants. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 20:45, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
I didn't voice my objection here because you were already aware of it elsewhere. And there won't be any edit war, because a tie means the status quo remains unchanged. ― Thailog 21:22, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
At this rate, there will always be an edit war. Again, just because we brought it up elsewhere doesn't mean it was brought up here or at least where anyone who needed to know could look for it. It's easier to have a spot where everyone's voice can be heard instead of two users. Three heads are better than two. If need be, I could always notify more active users who can (perhaps) have their say, or at least help bring this matter to a close. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 22:53, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
There won't be an edit war because if needed be, I'll lock the page from editing to prevent it. ― Thailog 23:00, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

OK, let's calm down and see how this next week goes. I just sent out messages asking for a say. If no one contributes to the topics in question, I will accept this decision without fuss. It's only fair, now that I have spread the word. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 23:13, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
