Thanks for the edit, Thailog, I know I tend to write conversationally but will try to curb the impulse.
I do have a question, though, which is that in your definition you say "splicing is a DCAU term..." and I'm wondering about your use of the abbreviation. I understood that entries like this were written "in-universe," where that abbreviation would of course be meaningless... but I also understand there are exceptions to that rule. (Case in point would be any character page, where the main body of the article might be in-universe but the list of episode appearances at the bottom most certainly is not.)
I don't know the rules for which bits of which entries are or are not in-universe, so I thought I'd ask if there were any that I could follow in future. Thanks!

- Hmm. Good question. Normally the main artcile is supposed to be in-universe (unless the term was transfered from the comics), in which case the abbreviation is pointless... So you're right -- dunno why I added it.
- Btw, I'm loving your work. I take it you're watching the shows from the beginning...--Thailog 00:45, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Current Splicing?[]
How can we define "current"? The DCAU has active events from the Beginning of Time through the 30th Century? I think the section, when populated will need a more objective title. --BoneGnawer 19:52, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. The most recent information regarding DNA splicing comes from Batman Beyond; the last thing we know regarding it is that the activity was made illegal...though, like anything else, citizens still indulged in splicing despite the law.
- From my standpoint, we could do two things: the first would be remove the headings altogether and have one bulk history file. This might be messier, but it also doesn't invoke the awkward time aspect the DCAU has. The second would be designating "Early" splicing, and having that include information through JLU, and a "Refined Splicing" section, which would mostly involve BB information. - NakedSamurai 03:53, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Quotes[]
Just wanted to run two quotes by everyone, both from our good friend Able Cuvier:

I'm sure that at least one of these quotes, in whole or in part, has a place on this page, but I'm not sure which. (The second one would probably fit better in the "Splicing Today" section if it were limited to its role in Batman Beyond.) Caswin 06:10, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Notable spicers?[]
I feel as though this page would greatly benefit from a section dedicated to listing notable splicer characters. You could then add links to their respective wiki pages. I found this page from researching the hyena splicer Woof. I'm curious what other splicer characters exist and feel listing them would be beneficial for those who want to learn more about slicers.
