Stephen Root (born November 17, 1951 in Sarasota, Florida) is a prolific character and voice actor.
Root has appeared in supporting roles in films such as Office Space (co-starring with Gary Cole), television series like the sitcom NewsRadio and theblack comedy Barry, and provides the voice for Bill Dauterive in the animated sitcom King of the Hill.
