The Shoggoth was a species native to Krypton.
History[]
The Shoggoth was a creature that dwelt in the northern sectors of Krypton. Its body was surrounded by a green membrane, with only a large flexible pink tentacle protruding from it. At the end of the limb, a claw with three spiked nails could be used to hold onto objects.
Jor-El was once attacked by a shoggoth during his research. He managed to shake it off his platform by scraping it against an icy wall.

The Shoggoth is also the name of a creature in H.P. Lovecraft's novella At the Mountains of Madness.
