This article is about the alternate S.T.A.R. Labs from "Brave New Metropolis". For the mainstream research facility, see S.T.A.R. Labs.

In an alternate universe, S.T.A.R. Labs used to be a facility located in Metropolis.

History

According to Superman, S.T.A.R. Labs used to be a place for ideas and hope. However, the facility was abandoned after Lois Lane was killed in a car bombing staged by Intergang, leading Superman to join forces with Lex Luthor to make Metropolis a "safer city".

Long after S.T.A.R. Labs became derelict, the Lois Lane from the regular Superman's universe was transported by Emil Hamilton's dimensional machine to the facility. Realizing there was something wrong, Lois left the building before becoming aware of Metropolis. After Luthor's defeat, a reformed Superman brought Lois back to S.T.A.R. Labs, where she kissed him before leaving for her dimension with her Superman.
