Despero dispatched his armada to lay siege upon the planet, where they were fenced off by four Green Lanterns — Katma Tui, Kilowog, Arkkis Chummuck and Galius Zed. Ranstad-7 was then the battle field for a fierce skirmish between the two factions, with Despero's emerging victorious.
