Despero dispatched his armada to lay siege upon the planet, where they were fended off by four Green Lanterns — Katma Tui, Kilowog, Arkkis Chummuck and Galius Zed. Ranstad-7 was then the battlefield for a fierce skirmish between the two factions, with Despero's faction emerging victorious.
