Morena Baccarin (born June 2, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian-American actress who voiced Black Canary on Justice League Unlimited.
She is probably best known for playing the role of Inara Serra in the television series Firefly and its subsequent feature film Serenity (alongside Adam Baldwin, Nathan Fillion & Gina Torres). She played the recurring role of Dr. Leslie "Lee" Thompkins on the live-action series Gotham, where she met her husband, co-star Ben McKenzie (who plays Thompkins's on-screen love interest, James Gordon). Their daughter, Frances, was born on March 2, 2016.
