Michael Clarke Duncan (December 10, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois – September 3, 2012 in Los Angeles, California) was an American actor.

Known for his imposing physique and very deep voice, Michael Clarke Duncan was a bodyguard before he turned to acting. His first roles were bodyguards, many of them uncredited. His billed "debut" was Armageddon, but his breakout role was that of John Coffey in The Green Mile. He had several roles since, including Marvel crime boss The Kingpin/Wilson Fisk in Daredevil, a role he reprised in Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, and mob enforcer Manute in Frank Miller's Sin City. On September 3, 2012, Duncan suffered a heart attack and later died in hospital that day. He was 3 months away from his 55th birthday.
