Background information[]
- In 1998, there was a Lobo animated series in development by John P. McCann, Boyd Kirkland, and Steve E. Gordon. The series was going to be voice directed by Andrea Romano, with the voice cast including Brad Garrett (as Lobo), Linda Hamilton, William H. Macy, and Paul Rugg. However, the series was cancelled.
- When Warner Bros. decided to do Lobo as a web series, they reused some elements from the cancelled animated series including Sunny Jim. John McCann would initially write the episodes, but decided to Alan Smithee his way off the project when there ended up being too much interference from DC Comics.[1]
