Background information[]
George Lazenby's acting career took off with playing James Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (which the main antagonist of the film, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, would later served as an inspiration for Clancy Brown's portrayal of Lex Luthor in subsequent DCAU productions). Later roles included appearing as Jor-El in two episodes of the 1990 series Superboy, playing the long lost father of main character Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) on The Pretender, and playing Brigadier General Pettigrew in Gettysburg, in which he charged alongside William Morgan Sheppard.
