Frieda was a persuasive and somewhat commanding girl, who worked for several committees and the school paper. She was best friends with Daisy Watkins, and later also with Shenice Vale.

Background information[]
- In Milestone comics, Frieda Goren was a love interest of Virgil. She was the first to know of his secret identity. In Milestone Forever #2, which ties up the old Milestone universe, it is revealed that she and Virgil eventually married, and had two kids with their dad's powers; one of them was called Larry, after her old flame.
- Throughout her appearances in Static Shock, Frieda's hair color alternates between red and brown, and her eye color between black and green.
- Frieda and her family in the show are Jewish, as they were in the comics.[2]
