"Fallen Hero" is the fourth episode of season 4 of Static Shock. It first aired on February 7, 2004. It is a crossover with Justice League, though only John Stewart appears in it.
Plot
Static is distraught at the news of his hero, Green Lantern, going on a rampaging crime spree. When Green Lantern comes to Dakota, Static confronts him. After he helps put Green Lantern in jail, he discovers Green Lantern's power ring in his pocket and goes to talk to him. He realizes that the one on a rampage is actually Sinestro disguised as Green Lantern by power absorbed from his stolen power battery and that after fighting him, he left the real Green lantern behind to take the fall. Static teams up with his fallen hero and provides power for his ring. Together, they take down Sinestro and expose him as the culprit. With restored faith in his hero, Static bids Green Lantern farewell.
Continuity
- Richie refers to "all that time we worked with him". This is likely a reference to the episode "A League of Their Own" when they worked with the Justice League.
