Dr. Byrne was a NSA scientist.

Dr. Byrne helped Agent Bennet in the questioning of Zeta. He was an expert on synthoids, and had studied Zeta' blueprints. He was surprised when Agent Rush found a module in Zeta's head that wasn't on the design specs. Bennet ordered Byrne to try and access the module, but the encryption proved too tough. Bennet then had Byrne delete Zeta's brain. Unfortunately, the procedure caused Zeta to escape and go renegade.
