Dennis J. "Denny" O'Neil (May 3, 1939 – June 11, 2020) was a famed comics writer, noted for his work on Batman, Green Lantern/Green Arrow and The Question. For Batman: The Animated Series, he wrote "The Demon's Quest," while "Sideshow", "The Laughing Fish", "Off Balance" and "Appointment in Crime Alley" were all largely based on stories originally written by him. His name was also used in the background of several episodes, and the character Denny Miller was named after him.
