The Dakota Juvenile Detention Center was a juvenile detention center located in the city of Dakota.

After the detention center became derelict, the Meta-Breed used it as their hideout. When they deduced that Virgil Hawkins could be Static, they kidnapped him and locked him inside a cell. However, Hawkins' friend, Richie Foley, became the superhero Gear and defeated the Meta-Breed but not without convincing them that Hawkins wasn't Static.[1] After that defeat, the Meta-Breed abandoned the dentention center and moved out to another hideout.[2]
