Background information[]
A former paratrooper and teacher, Charles Napier usually plays rough, military-type characters. He was best known for his roles in The Blues Brothers as well as Rambo: First Blood, Part II. He also played Colonel David in Shaq's version of Steel and hunter Kilgore Steed in The Batman.
Napier was also a friend of director Jonathan Demme, and had a minor role in almost every one of Demme's films, including Tennessee Police Officer Boyle in Silence of the Lambs and the Judge in Philadelphia.
