The central power battery on Oa contains the collected energies of Guardians of the Universe and supplies power to the members of the Green Lantern Corps.
Background information[]
In the DC comics, the central battery is used to store the energy made from the collective embodiment of willpower. Additionally, the battery has also served as a prison for foes the Guardians deemed too dangerous to release, such as Parallax (the embodiment of fear, which resulted in the Green Lanterns being unable to affect anything yellow) and Sinestro.
