The Terrific Trio was a group of metahumans formed by 2-D Man under false pretenses. The Terrific Trio were formerly scientists, whose forms were altered when they were bathed in extreme radiation. Now Magma, Freon, and 2-D Man are reluctant superheros who seek to find a cure for their state. But when they find out that their condition is irreversible, and they are betrayed by both the government and their best friend, their plan for revenge endangers all of Gotham, and brings them into conflict with the Batman (Terry McGinnis).
