Elwes achieved cult status as the hero of Rob Reiner's 1987 comedy/fantasy The Princess Bride, Westley a.k.a. The Man In Black. Other roles include Robin Hood in Mel Brooks' slapstick Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Major Forbes in Glory and Doctor Lawrence Gordon in the Saw series (which fellow DCAU voice actors George Newbern (Harold Abbott), Mark Rolston (Agent Erickson) and Scott Patterson (Agent Strahm) were part of).
