Bulldozer was a soldier in of Easy Company during World War II.
History[]
Loudmouthed Bulldozer fought alongside Easy Company in the invasion of France. Unlike his commander, Sgt. Rock, Bulldozer was not keen on John Stewart tagging along. When Stewart beat Bulldozer in a hand-to-hand brawl, it earned him a place among the ranks of Easy Company, though Bulldozer was still not convinced. Bulldozer thought even worse of Stewart when Wildman was shot in the leg and Stewart was supposed to watch for snipers.
Later on, when they discovered Savage's airbase, Bulldozer was shown to be smiling upon hearing John successfully infiltrated one of the jets. This suggests he did take a liking to John in the end.
Background information[]
- In the comics, two characters have gone by the name Bulldozer—Sergeant Nichols and Corporal Horace Canfield. The animated Bulldozer is based on the latter.
- According to one story, Bulldozer got his name when, in an anger-induced attempt to take a Nazi-occupied farmhouse in order to shed his too-small boots, he charged through machine-gun fire and smashed his way through a barred window with little effort, his squad mates describing him as "like a bulldozer."
