Broome Lake was an U.S. Air Force base located just outside Metropolis.

Colonel Hal Jordan was stationed at Broome Lake. His plane was damaged in a fight between Kyle Rayner and Sinestro.

- Broome Lake appears to be a reference to Groom Lake, the official name of the fabled top-secret U.S. Air Force facility commonly known as Area 51.
