Boom, real name Byron, was a Bang Baby. He had the ability to blast out sonic booms from the sound speaker embedded on his chest.
History
After stepping in a spill from the Big Bang, Byron became a living boom box, hence the name. After the death of their parents, he and his sister had a hard time, which Byron saw as an excuse to commit robberies. He was ultimately defeated by Static with the help of Mirage, who had turned on him.
Later, Boom lost his power after Dr. Todd's bang baby cure was sprayed in the air. He joined Ebon and Hotstreak in their attempts to regain their powers, but failed.
