The Batline

The Batline was a device used by Batman and his associates, so they could patrol the streets of Gotham from the relative safety of a rooftop.

Background information

Batman's grapple gun and rope have gone by various names—Batline and Batrope being the two used most often. The rope is not named within the television series, except for Batman's comment that he'd need "a longer grapple". In the screenplay of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, it is referred to as the Batline.
