Batcomputer 2

The Batcomputer

The Batcomputer was a supercomputer that was located in the Batcave. The Batcomputer was extremely advanced and could perform an unspecified amount of functions.

History[]

Batman: The Animated Series

Batman used the Batcomputer to investigate the crime spree related to pharmaceutical companies in Gotham. Later, he used it again to analyze the sounds produced by Man-Bat, which he found at one of the crime scenes along with some hair belonging to the beast. The Batcomputer couldn't find a match to any animal species in the world, despite its extensive sound library. Using the Batcomputer, Batman created an antidote for the Man-Bat transformation and reversed the process, curing Langstrom in the process.[1]

Batman could find any information from the Batcomputer. He searched the location of a broadcasting signal when Joker hijacked the TV stations. Batman also found the location an abandoned factory when he discovered that it was being used as a hideout by Joker.[2]

Batman used the Batcomputer's scanner to analyze the piece of cloth that he took from Scarecrow during their first encounter. The computer was able to locate the companies that can develop such fabric. Later, Batman searched a cross-reference between the companies and the former employees of the Gotham University, leading him to the main suspect, Jonathan Crane.[3]

Batman used special equipment to analyze the air in Gotham when Joker spread his laughing gas across the city. The computer was able to detect the effects of the gas on the human body.[4]

Sometime later, Batman analyzed a sample of Poison Ivy's toxin and also, he found all necessary information about her background after she poisoned Harvey Dent.[5]

Batman used the computer's map to track down mysterious little green cloaked figures who have been pickpocketing people around Gotham.

During his encounter with Mister Freeze, Batman analyzed the stolen parts from each GothCorp warehouse that create a giant freeze cannon on the computer, and later looked up Freeze's background on the computer's newspaper clip files.

Batman later on used the computer's criminal files on Nostromos, also known as Carl Fowler, a former actor who was arrested for petty larceny.

After his encounter with Torchy at a spa, Batman was examining the blueprints of the device he was using on the computer, when he sees the Joker's reflection on its screen. But when he attacked in response, Batman sees it was just Alfred, walking up behind him.

During his fallout with Batman, Robin uses the computer's criminal files on "Billy Marin" and learns that he is really Tony Zucco, the man who killed his parents.

Randa Duane, under the orders of H.A.R.D.A.C., infiltrated the Batcave and tampered with the Batcomputer and accessed Batman's files, leading it to malfunction and setting the mechanical arms to attack Batman, but he managed to free himself.

Sometime later after H.A.R.D.A.C.'s destruction, a Batman robot, thinking he is the real Batman, used the computer's files to learn about the other duplicates, and later uses it to download H.A.R.D.A.C. into it, but after thinking he killed the real Batman, destroyed it in a fit of depression and remorse.

Batman used the Batcomputer to analyze the chemical residue on the piece of windshield from Chuckie Sol's car and later look up the dummy corporations ran by Sol and Buzz Bronski before finding the name of the third director, Salvatore Valestra.

When Harvey Bullock was attacked by a mysterious shooter, Batman uses the computer to search information on whomever has a grudge against Bullock.

During their encounter with Lock-Up, Batman and Robin search information on the computer about Bolton's past, and they learn that he was in charge of the security when Stonegate Penitentiary was being built. Robin recalls the code F-84, and they discover that it's the name of a ship that was used as a temporary prison until Stonegate was finished and that it was under Bolton's command.

When watching a clip of Gotham's "Laff-Off" featuring "Smilin' Shecky Rimshot", Batman examines Rimshot's picture and realizes he was the Joker in disguise.

After Mr. Freeze was kidnapped by a robot, Batman, Robin and Alfred watched the clip on the Batcomputer, and analyzed his fearful face.

When visiting Dean Arbagast at his home, Batman and Robin record his conversation with Gregory Belson and analyzed the tape's sound of a ship's foghorn and buoy in the background.

Superman: The Animated Series

Batman used the Batcomputer to test a Kryptonite sample of the Laughing Dragon, and Robin and Superman used it to research the history of the nanites and Bruce's mysterious disappearance.

The New Batman Adventures

The Batcomputer was used numerous times by each member of the Bat-Family to research the history and events of Freeze's recent attacks, Roxy Rocket and the mysterious Batwoman.

Batman Beyond

After Bruce retired from his mantle of Batman, he used the Batcomputer to monitor and contact Terry McGinnis, the new Batman.
