James presented the Gotham Motors Solstice, the new sports car for the summer, but was interrupted by Calendar Girl, who kidnapped him, despite Batman's attempt to stop her. With her other victims, Donna Day and Frederick Fournier, James was held at an abandoned night club, "Faces", where Calendar Girl planned to kill them out of revenge, until Batman and Batgirl intervened.
