History[]
Some time before the Thanagarian invasion, the Adversary battled Justice League members Superman and Hawkgirl. Unbeknownst to the latter, her admirer Carter Hall watched her take down the brute.
Background information[]
The depicted subject bears the likeness of Adversary from the DC Comics; however, the DCAU character was never named on-screen, or otherwise. The title of this article is conjecture based on the character's likeness. Cary Richards was a sickly child who was granted superpowers in a deal with the demon Lord Satanus. He battled Superman. He first appeared in Adventures of Superman #579, and was created by J.M. DeMatteis, who also wrote "Shadow of the Hawk".
