Could there have been a fishing episode of Static Shock aired before "Sons of the Fathers"?
In the series' episode "Sons of the Fathers", there's a scene with Virgil's father Robert is having a discussion with Richie's father Sean about his racism at the Freeman Community Center.

During the discussion, he is showing him a picture of him, Virgil, and Richie inside a portrait.
Now, in the picture, Virgil is shown wearing a purple outfit while holding up a fishing rod. Richie is shown standing beside him in his usual outfit while holding up two fish. Robert is shown standing behind them while wearing a yellow shirt. There's a bunch of trees in the background and the sky is darker.
So, this got me thinking,..."Could there have been a fishing episode of Static Shock aired before "Sons of the Fathers"?" How I think it would've played out is Virgil and Robert preparing for their annual father-son fishing trip. Virgil would get a phone call from Richie. Richie would tell Virgil he wishes that his father spent more time with him but he can't because of him working so late at the Freeman Community Center. Virgil would invite him to join him and Robert so that he wouldn't be alone all weekend. Richie would tell his mother Maggie about it. She'd be skeptical at first, but then she'd agree knowing that he'd be safe. They'd leave the house for the woods and Sharon would be glad because she'd have the house to herself.
When they get to the woods, they go to the dock and begin fishing. Virgil would have the first turn and Richie would have the second turn. Richie would have trouble at first, but after a little help from Virgil and Robert, he'd finally get the hang of it. Virgil and Richie would take turns catching numerous fish. It would catch the attention of someone and then they'd have a picture taken by them. They'd follow it up by eating the fish that they caught for dinner. After that, it would be nightfall and they'd be roasting/eating marshmallows by the campfire. They'd each tell scary stories. Robert would tell his scary story first, Virgil would tell his next, and Richie would tell his last. Then after that, they'd put their pajamas on and then they'd go to bed.
On the next day, it would be morning. They would wake up and Robert would be preparing breakfast. Virgil and Richie would feel sweaty and stinky from the previous day and Richie would decide that they should go into the river to cool themselves off. Virgil would tell Richie that they can't because they didn't bring swimsuits. Richie would suggest that they go in their "birthday suits". Virgil would be shocked by this and asks Richie if he's crazy. He would turn down the suggestion because he doesn't want to be seen by anyone and get in trouble. Richie would try to convince Virgil to reconsider because there's no one else there but them, including females. Virgil would almost agree but then he'd be worried about how Robert would react. Richie would tell him that Robert wouldn't want him to suffer from dehydration and that he'd want him to be healthy. Virgil would eventually agree and he and Richie would both leave the campsite for the river. When they get to the river, they would each take off their pajamas and jump in. They feel relief from the river and they'd splash each other playfully. Robert has breakfast prepared for Virgil, Richie, and himself. He tells them that their breakfast is ready but then he sees that they're not there. He would leave the campsite and go down to the river. He would notice that Virgil and Richie's pajamas are lying on the ground and see them splashing in the river. He would go closer to the river and shout at them to get their attention making them stop. He would ask them why they're in the river and they'd explain to him how sweaty and stinky they were from the previous day and decide to go into the river to cool off. He'd be seemingly upset by this and leave. Virgil and Richie would feel bad about what they've been doing when all of the sudden, they hear a thumping sound. The humping sound turns out to be from Robert. He would be shouting while running towards the river wearing nothing at all and jump in along with Virgil and Richie. Richie would be surprised by this because he always believed that Robert was strict. Robert would tell him that he's not always strict and knows how to relax and have fun. They would all splash each other playfully. After that, they would dry themselves off with towels, go back to the campsite and eat their breakfast.
After breakfast, they'd each get dressed and go on a hike up the mountain. After the hike, they'd go back to the river for more fishing. After eating fish, roasting/eating marshmallows, and telling scary stories by the campfire, they'd put their pajamas on and go to bed. Morning would come and Virgil and Richie would decide to go to the river for another dip. They'd ask Robert for permission and he'd agree. He'd decide to go with them and they'd leave the campsite. They'd get to the river, take off their pajamas, and jump in. They'd splash each other playfully. After splashing, they'd relax and float on their backs. While relaxing, a group of animals would appear and take their pajamas. They would get out of the river and dry off with towels but then they'd notice that their pajamas are missing. They'd go back to the campsite and notice that each of their clothes are torn making them unwearable. They'd then realize that animals were the reason behind it. They'd go through the woods and they'd meet a ranger. They'd tell him about their situation and they'd ask for his help. He'd help them and it would be successful but then he'd tell them that there's nothing he can do about their clothes and they'd just have to spend the whole day wearing their towels.
They'd ride back home distraught by what they've been through. Richie tells them to cheer up as while they lost clothes, they were least able to have fun during their time in their woods. They'd drop Richie off at his house and go back to their house. They'd enter the house. Sharon would be confused and ask them what happened to them during their trip. Virgil would tell her that he and Robert don't want to talk about it and she shrugs it off.
Virgil and Robert would sit in the living room on the couch talking about their trip and they'd decide to remove their towels and sit on the couch au naturel. Virgil would put his towel back on, go into the kitchen and call Richie. He'd ask him if he's ok. Richie would tell him that he is ok and that he enjoyed the trip. He'd then ask Virgil if he's ok and he'd say that is. Richie would ask him if Robert's ok too and he'd say that he is. They'd talk more about the trip. Virgil would tell Richie that he and Robert are au naturel. Richie would tell him that he is too. He would then suggest that they become nudists. Virgil would be confused by this and Richie would tell him that they could do it after high school because then they'd be legal adults. He'd ask him if Robert would go for it but Virgil would say that he wouldn't because of his age and that it'd make him look like an embarrassment to the community. Richie would then say that maybe he'll reconsider once he's retired. They end their conversation, say their goodbyes, and that they'll see each other in school on Monday.
Virgil would go back into the kitchen, take his towel off, and then he'd sit beside Robert with them both smiling, therefore ending the episode.
