Name the pros and cons of The New Batman Adventures.
So...I started working on a Netflix Original Series that is another sequel to Batman: The Animated Series. It has the same title as it's new comic series, therefore making it loosely based on the comic. And I also put in a list of characters that are gonna be in the show. I started on the heroes and I wrote the bios to be described in Batman's words. Here they are:
Heroes (Descriptions given by Batman himself)
Bruce Wayne A.K.A. Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy)
As you know, I made a vow on my parents’ graves to rid Gotham City of the evil that took their lives. I spent years traveling around the world, training with people willing to teach me martial arts, acrobatics, detective skills and criminology until I returned to Gotham and began fighting crime as a vigilante lawman known as Batman. During my crusade, I struck fear into the hearts of criminals with an arsenal of high-tech gadgets and vehicles provided by my company, Wayne Enterprises, and had help from my friends against the deadliest enemies. However, I am not really young anymore. I’ve gotten older. And my chances of hanging up my cape are getting higher. There will come a time when I will have to pass the mantle of the Bat onto another. But until that day comes, I will always keep fighting, no matter how many villains knock me down.
Dick Grayson A.K.A Nightwing (voiced by Loren Lester)
Dick Grayson has changed a lot during his career as Nightwing. Aside from the haircut and new costume, of course. He moved out of Gotham to fight crime in Bludhaven, the city opposite of Gotham, has a personal relationship with Harley Quinn and still finds me very stubborn. But we still continue to work together during our crime-fighting crusades. I’ve known Dick for a very long time, and he’s still stuck by my side, even after he quit being Robin.
Jason Todd A.K.A. Red Hood (voiced by Cameron Bowen)
Jason Todd was half the reason I refused to let Tim Drake be Robin the first time we met, but allowed it anyway. Sometime After Dick left my side, I met Jason when he was stealing the tires off of my car. He was full of anger and hate and extremely ruthless. I decided to train him into becoming the next Robin, hoping to help him channel his anger into something productive, but I was wrong. The older he got, the more ruthless he became. And his rage eventually got him in a lot of trouble. Jason attempted to kill The Joker when I wouldn’t, but Joker captured him and brutally tortured him. I managed to save Jason and stop Joker, but Jason disappeared in an explosion started by that madman, and I assumed him to be dead. But years later, Jason resurfaced as The Red Hood, a ruthless gun-wielding vigilante who has no regrets executing his enemies. With his knowledge of my fighting style, it’s almost impossible to take him down without getting myself taken down first. Me and Red Hood were enemies at first, but I told him that it was my fault for not saving him earlier from The Joker and himself, and I promised him that I would do everything in my power to help him through his pain. He forgave me, but continued his lethal crusade, and took a serious dislike to Tim Drake, upset that I replaced him, but grateful that there is another Robin.
Harleen Quinzel A.K.A Harley Quinn (voiced by Erica Lindbeck)
Despite years of abuse, threats, lies and hopeless love, Harley Quinn never gave up her infatuation with The Joker...until she ratted him out and then dumped him when Harley realized Joker cared more about me than he ever will about her. Sometime after that, Harley went on parole and was off the grid for months. But when Poison Ivy and The Floronic Man attempted to turn the entire world into their own personal garden, Me and Nightwing decided to recruit Harley to find them and stop them, which she reluctantly agreed. After she helped us take them down, she decided to fight crime more often, but not in a skin tight batsuit, and sure as hell not as my partner. She said she wants to be someone who will feed me info when I’ll need it. Besides, since most of my friends don’t really trust her, she told me it will be a while before she could think about being “another one of my sidekicks”.
Victor Stone A.K.A. Cyborg (voiced by Khary Payton)
It’s no mystery how this man became who he was today. Victor Stone was a skilled athlete, football star and student at Metropolis University and the son of Silas Stone, the head scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs, whom Victor never got along with. Victor was injured in a terrible accident that nearly killed him. But Silas repaired his body with alien technology. Now, Victor’s new body is equipped with cybernetic weaponry and a built-in supercomputer. Even though he’s grateful he’s alive, Victor resented his father for what he did. But after understanding his armor’s capabilities, Victor thanked him and took on the name “Cyborg”, a cybernetic superhero and member of the Justice League. He’s been working with us for a very long time, tirelessly protecting the Earth.
Selina Kyle A.K.A Catwoman (voiced by Grey Griffin)
When I first met Selina, she was nothing more than your average, capture-evading, law-breaking, jewel stealing, promise-abandoning cat burglar. She always promised to change her ways and stop stealing, but she was always forced back into crime by temptation, extortion, shady offers and her campaign against animal abuse. Last time I saw her, she left for Paris with half of the evidence from when we arrested Thomas Blake and his cult, promising that the next time I see her, she will be working on the right side of the law. And when she came back to Gotham, she kept her promise. She gave up her life of crime, abandoned her temptation and became an ally in my mission to fight Gotham’s Criminal Underworld. Though it will take a long time before she could repair our “romantic attachments”, Selina still has a soft spot for me, not just for my skill, but for my heart as well.
Harry Cavatica A.K.A. The Mighty Mutatron (voiced by Jim Conroy)
In the past, I’ve had no problem taking on criminally insane lunatics like The Joker, Two-Face, Riddler, Scarface, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy, but I never imagined, or even prepared for the challenge of having to work alongside a psychopath that would use their chaotic instincts to help people rather than terrorize them...namely, a comically-deranged maniac named Harry Cavatica. According to police records, and the info he gave me, Harry was a famous Hollywood TV celebrity from the early 1940s and the star of a very popular and very old live-action superhero series where he defeated his enemies with cartoon physics and a wacky sense of humor, his character name identified as “The Mighty Mutatron”. Back then, he was one of the most popular TV comics in the golden age of cinematic media, but that all came to an end in 1956 when he was shot, killed and buried in the cemetery behind my mansion by an unknown assailant, which happened on his way to the airport when he was returning from a gala premiere of his latest cartoon in Gotham. Incidentally, Harry was buried under the exact spot where I thought Jason Todd was buried years ago. When I dug up the grave after my encounter with Jason, I accidentally reanimated Harry and he started causing a great deal of chaos and mischief throughout the city. After Nightwing and I managed to capture him, he told us that in order for his soul to be set free, he has to complete 1000 good deeds and the only way to do that is to use his comical attributes to provide a public service to the citizens of Gotham, leaving me no choice but to allow Harry to join me and become my partner. It wasn’t really the best decision I made, but it’s the only way that I’ll ever get rid of this gray-skinned maniac. And until I have helped him fulfil his vow and free his soul, I have a feeling that Gotham and its Criminal Underworld will never get a break from the type of lunacy that Harry will unleash. So far, besides from his backstory, nothing else is really known about Harry, except that he was reborn in The Bad Place, uncertain why he ended up there despite not being a sinner. He tried to help save people there, but it is not going out well, and he used to have an ex-girlfriend who broke up with him for unknown reasons. I’ll have to find out more about him when I have the chance.
Barbara Gordon A.K.A. Batgirl (voiced by Tara Strong)
Barbara Gordon, Jim’s daughter, started her career as Batgirl when her father was framed by Gil Mason, who was put in a coma after her battle with him. It was a relief and a tragedy that he was murdered by Joker, since Mason knew who she really was. But that’s not the point. While Batgirl was a trusted and valued ally in my crusade, the thrill of being a crime-fighter makes her a little careless and reckless. Barbara almost gets herself killed because of that, despite her impressive skill. She continues to keep her alter-ego from her father, since telling him might worry him. But she sometimes thinks about telling him, since she worries that me and Jim might turn against each other because she got killed without ever telling him. And since she’s told me about that dream, I’ve been doing my best to keep her out of trouble. But it’s not easy. She still puts herself at risk, and if she doesn’t start to take my crusade very seriously, I fear that the nightmare she experienced...will become a reality.
Holly Robinson (voiced by Tara Strong)
There isn’t much known about Holly Robinson. She was only mentioned by Catwoman a few times. But according to the GCPD database, it was said that she was a close friend of Catwoman. They both worked in prostitution before Selina turned to crime. Selina was kind of like a mentor to her, teaching her hand-to-hand combat, which wasn’t enough when Holly was presumed shot to death at the Gotham Docks by Falcone’s men just 2 days after the revelation of Selina’s alter ego as Catwoman. This cruel act was also the source of Selina’s overprotective nature towards Batgirl, Robin and Mutatron. What happened to Holly gravely affected her and she didn’t want the same thing to happen to the younger members of my team. I understood her grief because it was how I felt when I lost my parents. Holly may have been a criminal, but she was like a daughter to Selina. And if I knew about her, I could have done anything to save her life. However, Holly’s body was never found on the day of her murder. It couldn’t be possible, but if she did survive, then she might be hiding somewhere outside of Gotham. And it would be a long time before I found out where she was hiding.
Rachel Roth A.K.A. Raven (voiced by Ingrid Nilson)
Nightwing met Rachel when he saved her from Catman’s cult. He said that she was there because they thought she was, and in their own words, “an unholy monster conceived by the devil himself”. I thought those people were delusional at first, but after performing a body scan on her, it turned out that whatever Rachel was, her birthplace did not originate from anywhere on Earth. There isn’t really anything else known about her, aside from that she possesses magical abilities and what is assumed to be demonic presence lurking within her body. Harry nicknamed her “Raven” after the poem written by Edgar Allan Poe, based on her dark and gothic nature. Until I find more information about who she really is and where she came from, I can’t really deduce if this mysterious girl is either a good hearted ally...or an extremely dangerous threat to all of mankind.
Tim Drake A.K.A Robin (voiced by Erin Matthews)
Years ago, Tim Drake, the son of an eccentric criminal, discovered my identity after we saved each other from Two-Face. Drake was very intrigued by the tales of Robin The Boy Wonder and was very insistent that my crusade needs another one, but I refused to let myself recruit another partner...especially after what happened to Jason. However, he soon changed my mind when he demonstrated his combat skills when he helped me stop Two-Face. Through improvements on his detective skills and grueling training exercises, Tim became worthy enough to take up the mantle as the 3rd Robin. Back then, he was a young rookie who, though reckless and fun-seeking, followed my every order and always had my back when I needed him. But now, after a chilling encounter with Joker and Harley Quinn that ended with me taking them down and saving him, he is a 16-year-old veteran who is hardened and serious. He was changed forever by that incident. Tim will now do whatever it takes to protect me, himself and my family, even if it means sometimes distancing myself from me.
Alfred Pennyworth (voiced by Martin Jarvis)
After my parents died, Alfred, their butler, became my legal guardian and looked after me for a long time. And when I became Batman, he started providing me with expert insight on Gotham’s civilians and criminals. He even uses his actor skills to deflect anyone who might try to figure out my true identity, and his medical skills to patch me up when I get too badly hurt. But that was in the past. And now, he’s grown really old. Too old to look after me anymore. Alfred’s failing health is slowly making him unable to care for me. He’s even considered retiring. He told me that I will need to find a suitable candidate to be my new caretaker when he passes away. Alfred’s always been there for me when I was in need of him. I think it will be a long time before I find someone else to take his place.
Penelope Cavatica A.K.A. The Marvelous Mutatia (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain)
Penelope is Harry Cavatica’s younger sister and his comical successor...at least, that’s what he told me. 3 years after he “died”, Penelope mysteriously first appeared in a spin-off series to Harry’s show that ran a 60-year running streak, in which she was also a cartoonish superhero with a comical personality and super-powers called The Marvelous Mutatia, and became more popular and famous than Harry ever was. 59 years later, Jason met Penelope when she saved him from two muggers and returned him to the manor, where she and Harry got along very well, but he found it strange that Penelope was the same age she was when she started working as a famous starlet. It was strange for me, too. What’s even stranger is that there wasn’t really anything about her before that. No birth certificate, no school diplomas, not even a criminal record or family records. It was almost as if she literally appeared out of thin air. And if that wasn’t big enough of a problem, it seemed that years of making movies has warped and twisted her mind, because she believes that she actually is the superhero she played on TV. and unless we find a way to tell her the truth without causing her to have a mental breakdown upon discovery, she will continue to perform the same fearless and reckless heroics she performed in her show against against Gotham’s criminals, not realizing that the danger she’s putting herself in is real.
Katherine Kane A.K.A. Batwoman (voiced by Sumalee Montano)
I have met Batwoman before in the past. Well, 3 of them, actually, when I helped them take down Penguin and Rupert Thorne. But this...this one is different. This version of Batwoman is identified as Katherine Kane, a high-ranking, highly skilled military academy graduate...and my cousin. Kate was also the daughter of Colonel Jacob Kane and my mother’s sister, Margaret Kane, and the sister of Beth Kane. About 14 years ago, when she was 12, Kate, Beth and their mother were kidnapped by Anarky fanatics, when their leader tried to force Jacob to leave his position at the DEO, in exchange for their freedom. This was because of Anarky’s reaction toward Waller’s Task Force X program, and how he’s ranting about how the government recruits convicted criminals that they’re supposed to protect their nation from for top secret missions. Anyway, I helped Jacob rescue Kate and Beth, but in the chaos, Jacob and Margaret were killed. After their funeral, Beth and Kate went their separate ways and disappeared. Then, years later, I encountered Kate again at Wayne Tower, around the same time reports of Batwoman’s return hit the streets. I eventually put two and two together and deduced Kate’s identity. And even Though I do not condone her ruthless behavior toward my enemies, I understand that she wants to be like me, only better. But until she understands that fighting injustice is really about doing what’s right because it’s right and not because it’s to be better, I doubt that I can be willing to trust her as a partner...and a friend.
Renee Montoya (Voiced by Sumalee Montano)
Renee Montoya, a former detective at GCPD, left the Department some time ago and went to work at the Police Department in Bludhaven. Because of her experience as an officer, she was employed as captain and became a famed city hero. She’s been doing this job for 2 years now and always maintained one step ahead. She’s had no problem working with Nightwing most of the time, but prefers to work alone when chasing down crime...unless the situation requires assistance when needed.
Tatsu Yamashiro A.K.A. Katana (voiced by Sumalee Montano)
I have met many honorable and mysterious samurais in the past, none were like Tatsu Yamashiro, better known as Katana. Bearing possession of the Soultaker Sword, a blade capable of containing the souls of those struck by Soultaker, including her husband, Tatsu is a trained martial artist who has the intention of exacting revenge on those who hurt the innocent, ever since the day her entire family was slaughtered by her own brother. Any criminal that ever encounters her never lived to tell the tale. Though she does have good intentions, she is driven by her own grief and anger, and needs to be stopped and healed before she loses herself to her vengeful ambition.
Helena Bertinelli A.K.A. Huntress (Voiced by Tara Platt)
Huntress and I haven’t seen each other for a while, not since she refused our offer to let her rejoin the Justice League. She has been through a lot, with what happened to her family and using violent means to resolve that, but news reports about her said that she has resorted to more moral means rather than how she usually fights crime. I do appreciate how she changed her ways, but Helena is still hurting from her loss. I told her that if she chooses to, she can come to me for my counsel. Helena said she doesn’t need counsel, but she’ll think about it. And when she chooses to, she will let me help her.
Rovette (Voiced by Erica Lindbeck)
Rovette was Mutatron’s feline sidekick during his series’ run. She had multiple roles in the show: bodyguard, analyst, partner, damsel in distress, driver, pet and animal lover. She loved Harry and cared for him with all her heart, even after he saved her dozens of times. After Harry was killed, Rovette witnessed the murder and knew who the killer was, but went missing a week after Harry was buried. When Harry was revived, he told me that he found out the GCPD found Rovette beaten to death...violently...near Arkham Asylum. And against my better judgement, Harry was desperate to be reunited with his furry friend, so he went to the Gotham Pet Cemetery, dug her up and took her to Harley’s apartment, where she used electroshock therapy tools and a great deal of artificial electricity to bring her back to life. However, when she was revived, she appeared to be suffering a case of amnesia, caused by the blunt trauma she endured that led to her death. Since Rovette is the only one who knew who Mutatron’s killer was, we have to find a way to try and restore her memory as she works with us in fighting our usual rogues, while also protecting her from the rogues and people that are somewhat tied with Mutatron’s murder, while Mutatron himself tries to get her to remember who she is and what they did in the past. But trying to restore her memory isn’t the only issue. When Harley resurrected her, she did it using the transformation machine Joker originally intended to use to turn Tim Drake into his own son. The machine gave Rovette a cartoonish personality and appearance similar to that of The Joker himself, but did not give her Joker’s sadistic, murderous tendencies. She also has complete psychic recollection of everything The Joker has ever done throughout the multiverse, a bite that disperses a non-lethal version of Joker’s laughing gas to anyone she bites and a comically-large revolver that shoots combustible hairballs. She may be an understanding ally, but despite lacking Joker’s malevolent traits, that madman’s essence lurking inside her body could prove to make her a danger to herself and others. Unless we find a way to turn her back to normal without also draining her life force, there’s no telling what kind of trouble she’ll cause if left unchecked.
Lucius Fox (Voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson)
Lucius manages R&D at Wayne Enterprises. He is in charge of building not just the gadgets I use in my crime-fighting crusade, but he also develops security systems for most of the public buildings in Gotham. When I first told Lucius that Bruce Wayne is Batman, he seemed surprised at first that I would be using the company’s money for an outlandish occupation, but said that I’ve always provided a great service to Gotham, with or without the mask. That said, he continues building my gadgets and helping me when I have to figure out my enemies’ odd weapons. He also spends his free time building stuff for me when I am facing newer, more tougher villains. He is very proud to work with me in my never-ending fight against injustice and to consider himself my most trusted ally.
Dinah Lance A.K.A. Black Canary (Voiced by Vanessa Marshall)
Black Canary was a legend in the modern days. Dinah’s mother, the original Canary, helped the Justice Society fight against the Nazis during World War II. Their victory over Hitler made her one of the greatest heroes ever lived. And now, 70 years later, her daughter is keeping up the family business, taking on street punks, bar patrons and megalomaniacal supervillains. Mutatron knows a lot about Black Canary and her family history...since he was around during the era of The Justice Society. And knows how great of a hero Dinah’s mother was...and believes that the new version will be just as great. Just like me.
Commissioner James Gordon (Voiced by Tom Kane)
Before I came along, The Gotham City Police Department was nothing more than a secretive hub for political corruption. Half of the Department, including its original commissioner, Gillian Loeb, had ties to most of Gotham’s most ruthless crime lords, and their muscle kept those cops in the Department. Not even Mayor Hill did anything about it, since he was very scared of the mob. But then, James Gordon, a rookie cop from Chicago, came to Gotham and, with my help, cleaned out every last scrap of the corruption feeding off Gotham’s suffering. Moving up the letter from Lieutenant to Captain to finally Commissioner, James has always helped me make Gotham a better place, as did his daughter. And with Mayor Hill gone, Gotham is looking to vote in Gordon as his replacement, so that he could do a better job helping people as mayor than he did as commissioner.
Quincy Sharp (Voiced by Tom Kane)
Quincy William Sharp is the Warden of Arkham Asylum, a job he’s been managing for 10 years now. He started out as a political figure, taking place as one of Gotham’s most trusted district attorneys, before taking his current position. Mr. Sharp has done well following the mandatory Asylum rules and keeping the inmates in line in a fair and just manner. Not much is really known about Sharp before he came to Gotham. But all I need to know is that with him in charge of Arkham, he could make all of the inmates’ lives truly better.
Oliver Queen A.K.A. Green Arrow (Voiced by Nolan North)
Green Arrow was one of the many heroes that joined the newly expanded Justice League many years ago. But before he became the crime-fighting Emerald Archer of Star City, he was simply Oliver Queen, the self-centered CEO of Queen Industries, whose ego was much larger than his wealth. But that before a yacht accident caused him to go missing for over a year. He came back, alive and well, and had changed for the better. Modeling his costume after a modern-day Robin Hood, Oliver Queen became Green Arrow, and used his skills he mastered on the island, including archery and acrobatics, to fight crime and corruption in Star City. When Mutatron first met him, he said he looked like Robin Hood was created by the guy that created those other superhero comics.
Clark Kent A.K.A. Superman (Voiced by George Newbern)
I have known Superman for a long time, and even after the first time we met, I can tell how much he’s lost. He lost his home planet to a megalomaniacal collector, his most trusted ally to a ruthless, hate-filled tyrant and, despite their differences, his greatest enemy to his lust for power, who could’ve been saved from such a devastating temptation. But despite all that, his compassion and hope maintained his will and his morality. However, I still fear and plan for a day when Superman might eventually become a threat to the world, but Clark assured me that that day will never come...but I am not too sure of his word.
Kara Danvers A.K.A. Supergirl (voiced by Laura Bailey)
As many of us know, Kara Zor-El was sent from Krypton to help her cousin, Kal-El, in his quest to become Superman. However, she was knocked off-course by the explosion, and spent the last 30 years stuck in hypersleep...until she was found and brought to Earth by Superman. A few weeks after she was brought here, Kara discovered her powers’ capabilities. Of course, it took some time for her to be ready, but eventually, Kara became Supergirl, Last Daughter of Krypton and Defender of Smallville, fighting all forms of evil and bringing hope to those who need it.
Barry Allen A.K.A. The Flash (Voiced by Tallisen Jaffe)
This isn’t the original Flash. This is actually Barry Allen, the successor to Wally West. After Wally was brutally crippled beyond repair by an unknown assailant, we had no choice but to tell Wally that it’s time for him to hang up the boots, since whoever attacked him will likely come after him again...and his loved ones Wally reluctantly accepted. And we thought for sure that The Flash would never run to the rescue again...until Barry Allen, a crime lab chemist at Central City PD, was involved in another serious accident similar to the one that gave Wally his powers, and infused Barry with speed force energy. Learning about his powers and the history of the Flash, Barry thought that the world might still need The Scarlet Speedster, so He made a professionally-sewn, custom designed replica of the Flash’s suit and started fighting crime in Central City. When we heard reports of The Flash’s return, we tracked him down and confronted him. At first, we tried to convince him to give up this streak of heroics and get rid of his suit, revealing his predecessor’s secret identity and his fate in the process, but he convinced us otherwise, since he believes that Flash’s legacy deserves to be honored and that the Central City still needs one. Motivated by his beliefs, we allowed him to continue to be Flash, though we assured him that it will be a long time before we’ll let him join The Justice League. So far, Barry’s been The Flash for over 2 years now, and he has done a better job than Wally. It makes me wonder how my future will turn out, which is literally predictable because I already know what my future will be like.
Diana Prince A.K.A. Wonder Woman (Voiced by Susan Eisenberg)
Wonder Woman hasn’t been seen much ever since she went back to Theymiscira to fulfill her duties as the new Queen of The Amazons, just 2 years after we brought down Darkseid. A lot of us miss Wonder Woman, even me. She left her island years ago to help aid America in World War 2, later joined the Justice League when it first formed. She was a humble warrior, giving compassion to even the most hardened souls, and embodied truth and honor in the darkest times. Me and Diana had a...sort of...personal relationship, but not personal enough for Mutatron and Harley to be drawing romantic pictures of us, which is mildly, and viciously, irritating. But now, she has returned to her island to take part in a more important position than what she had in the League. But she still writes to us. Tells us about what she does. We hope for a day when she might return to the Justice League, just like the good old days.
Harvey Bullock (Voiced by Robert Costanzo)
When I first met Lieutenant Bullock, he and I didn’t really trust each other, despite our shared mutual respect for the law. Bullock believed that vigilantes like me outclass the duties of his fellow officers and get a lot of credit, and that Gotham could do well without them. Boy, was he proven wrong. But he soon realized that the duties of a lawman can be fulfilled by anyone who believes in it, whether they wear a badge or not. He still continues to act proud and buffoonish, though, but he’s still the best cop in the department, and will give a lot to help me and Gordon save Gotham.
Damian Wayne (Voiced by Yuri Lowenthal)
There isn’t really much regarding Damian’s backstory, aside from the fact that he’s my biological son. When we first met him, Harry wondered how I could have a kid...since most of the women I met tried to kill me. He assumed that Catwoman was his mother at first, but both her and Damian denied that, saying that it would be gross and that Damian was raised by The League of Assassins. He has a problem with how things are different with me than they were when he worked with the League, including how he doesn’t understand our no-killing rule. But I am sure that with a little training and understanding, he will put in some morality and self-control.
Hal Jordan A.K.A. Green Lantern (Voiced by Josh Keaton)
Me and the Justice League have briefly met Hal Jordan before, during the time we were hunting Chronos. After that day, I looked him up. Hal Jordan was a cocky test pilot from Ferris Industries who apparently keeps recklessly crashing planes, which cost a lot of taxpayer dollars to replace. On his way home from work, Jordan encountered a dying alien named Abin Sur, who gave Jordan his Green Lantern ring. Seen a man who is capable of overcoming great fear, Hal was enlisted into the Green Lantern Corps, and was trained by its best officers to become one of them, including the former Green Lantern known as Sinestro. In fact, Jordan was the reason Sinestro was expelled from the Corps, since he testified against Sinestro for using his Green Lantern ring to oppress his own home planet. Hal’s successful testimony against his mentor impressed his superiors, The Guardians of The Universe, and they assigned him to be protector and patroller of Sector 2814, which is where Earth is located. He later became a member of the Justice League, who aided him in protecting the planet from both his and our enemies.
Garfield Logan A.K.A. Beast Boy (Voiced by Greg Cipes)
There isn’t really a lot known about Garfield Logan. He refuses to talk about his past, since he says that his childhood was “a living hell for him and the entire animal kingdom”. Not sure about why his skin is green, probably caused by a laboratory incident or genetic disorder. He can also transform into multiple animals, which is also unspecified. He also has a little crush on Raven, who is not interested, but that is not the point. Whoever Logan is and wherever he came from, he seems to be uncomfortable about talking about his past. I will need to find out more about him later.
Billy Batson A.K.A. Shazam (Voiced by Sean Astin)
Billy Batson’s superhero name wasn’t always Shazam. He had another name, but changed it due to trademark reasons. But that doesn’t really matter. Billy quit the League after the aftermath of an incident made him think that we were sinking to our enemies’ level. He doesn’t still realize that the entire incident was perpetrated to discredit us. Nobody has really seen him since. I have to assume that Billy retired from hero work and stopped using his powers and is now attempting to live a normal life as a normal kid. This is currently unconfirmed, but wherever he is, I am sure that he is safe and sound.
Guest Starring: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Leonardo voiced by Josh Keaton, Michelangelo voiced by Greg Cipes, Raphael voiced by Sean Astin and Donatello voiced by Rob Paulsen)
These guys are no mystery to me. Leo, Raph, Mikey and Donnie are New York City’s greatest heroes...even when nobody knows about them. After their physiology was permanently altered by a chemical substance called “Mutagen”, which Mutatron is trying to change its name to avoid brand confusion, these four turtles have been trained in the best expertise of martial arts known to the world by their sensei, Splinter. When they were ready, they went out up to the surface to protect New York from the samurai known as, The Shredder, and his army, the Foot Clan, which I thought was disbanded years ago. I met them when Shredder came to Gotham and aided Ra’s Al Ghul in acquiring the Mutagen, which in return, Shredder would be granted the immortal secrets of the Lazarus Pit. After we stopped them, The Turtles went back to New York and told me that if we need them again, that we’ll just call them. However, it will be a long time before we see these guys again.
Guest Starring: The Warner Siblings (Yakko voiced by Rob Paulsen, Wakko voiced by Jess Harnell and Dot voiced by Tress MacNeille)
Yakko, Wakko and Dot Warner are of the same unique type of comically deranged people that Mutatron is part of. Until a few weeks ago, I haven’t really heard anything about them. But according to news reports going back to 1930, The Warners were created by a Hollywood Movie Studio that goes by the name of Warner Bros. Studios, when the Studio was hired to come up with new ideas for their batch of popular cartoon characters. Unfortunately, the Warners were far too zany to be of any use to the Hollywood superiors. They ran amok throughout WB Studios, causing a greater deal of chaos than The Joker ever has, and this was way before his time. Not only that, The Warners never really made any sense to the people that met them, neither did their films. So while the films were permanently sealed away in the Studio Vault never to be released, The Warners themselves were locked away in the Studio Water Tower also never to be released. Afterwards, The Studio covered up any and all knowledge of The Warners’ existence to avoid any criticism from law enforcement and child support activists. But it wasn’t until 1993, when The Warners finally escaped from The Water Tower and once again started wreaking havoc on the streets of Hollywood. I learned about them when I stopped a group of thugs from selling pirated copies of their films. I learned about their story and what happened to them was wrong, but they can’t just go around causing mischief and mayhem just for fun. That could get them in a lot of trouble, which is what they are technically in, since there are a lot of people in the world who would want the people who locked them up to face justice for what they did. I want that, too, but it would be very amoral to see these kids homeless and jobless, despite what they are. Plus, they have done good deeds in the past and I can’t be against that. So it would make sense that they will need my help someday, if that eventuality were to come to pass.
Guest Starring: Immediate Murder Professionals (Blitzo voiced by Brandon Rogers, Millie voiced by Vivian Nixon, Moxxie voiced by Richard Steven Horwitz, and Loona voiced by Erica Lindbeck)
From what Mutatron told me, Immediate Murder Professionals, or I.M.P. for short, seems to be the best assassination group in all of the Underworld. But to me, these guys are amateurish and reckless, despite being highly skilled at their job. The employees are Blitzo, the founder and owner of IMP, Millie, the company’s powerhouse and bruiser, Moxxie, their weapons specialist, and Loona, the company’s hellhound secretary and occupational bodyguard who is also, much to my surprise, Mutatron’s ex-girlfriend. She and Mutatron reconciled as simply best friends, but that’s not the point. Using a grimoire that was “borrowed” from one of the Underworld's overlords, I.M.P. provide a public service to the Underworld’s sinner population by finishing their unfinished business and coming up here to take out anyone who betrayed these sinners when they were alive. While I don’t condone their actions, I do understand their cause and that they have some limits, as they won’t take money to kill very dangerous people like The Joker, since that would mean they would end up in The Underworld for all of eternity, which would lead to those people raining down eternal suffering and damnation onto every last demon and sinner down there with nobody to stop them. And while I.M.P. itself is not technically dangerous, since Mutatron considers them as anti-heroes, they are not very cooperative to each other either. They pretty much can’t go 5 minutes without screaming at or trying to kill each other. But they still manage to work together during their missions. But still, they need to learn better about what they’re doing, because revenge doesn’t always solve other people’s problems, even if it’s actually what those people want. However, I don’t think locking up will convince them, since Mutatron said that doing that would mean facing the wrath of the Devil himself, who really wouldn’t condone his “subjects'' being locked up by our world’s authorities. So unless I can explain to them of the consequences of what kind of reaction their company’s intentions will have, they’re gonna continue killing who they’re paid to until eventually, they’ll find out too late that the people they killed or ticked off will get revenge on them. Something even I won’t be strong or prepared enough to prevent.
John Constantine (Voiced by Matt Ryan)
Constantine is pretty much one of me and Mutatron’s least favorite people. He isn’t just a skilled sorcerer and detective from Liverpool. He is also a cheater, a liar, a con man and a thief who’s screwed over and stolen from almost every inhabitant of both Heaven and Hell. Despite his infamous reputation, Constantine wouldn’t hesitate to use his sorcery to help keep the darkest evils at bay. Even if Mutatron doesn’t trust or believe him. Mutatron doesn’t just hate him for his rep, but also that Constantine reminds him of another untrustworthy and conniving sorcerer from another world. But I told Harry that John is almost nothing like that, though he assured me to keep a close eye on him, since deception is one of Constantine’s many traits.
Starfire (Voiced by Kari Wahlgren)
Starfire’s history is quite bizarre. Dick Grayson met her when he was still working as Robin. He told me that Starfire came to Earth in an escape pod that crashed near Metropolis. According to the info he received from her, Starfire is a warrior princess named Koriand’r, or Kori for short, and she was from a planet named Tamaran, which was conquered after her “crazy-ass” sister gave information to the Tamaranians’ enemies, the Citadel, about the planet’s defense system and they took over easily. Kori escaped and crashed here, and she quickly learned english, but spent over 5 years learning about Earth’s cultures. She serves as an occupational ally to the Justice League. She uses ultraviolet energy granted by experiments on her when she was held captive on the planet of a race called The Pison. When she told us about her people’s enslavement, we asked her if there’s a rebellion going on her planet, and she said there isn’t one, because the Guardians of The Universe established a ban on access to the Vega System and the Green Lantern Corps. So, unless we can convince the Guardians to lift the ban so that we can take down the Citadel, weaken Blackfire’s support and put an end to her oppression, Starfire will have to stay here on Earth and wait for the day when she will be able to stop her sister and save her people.
Zee Zatara A.K.A. Zatanna (Voiced by Kari Wahlgren)
I first met Zatanna when I was traveling the world in my quest to become Batman. She was the daughter of a famed magician who died years ago. Long story short, a trick went wrong and her father got turned to sushi...by giant saw blades. Anyway, Zee taught me the magic of an escape artist, which was proved useful in my crime-fighting quest. Years later, I met Z again when she pursued a career in stage magic, where she was framed for stealing all of the Gotham Mint's money by a magic debunker who was also a notorious thief. But that was before she became a member of the Justice League and used her magic to fight crime. She is capable of using real deal magic simply by talking backwards. When Mutatron asked her why the backwards talk, she explained that saying the magic incarnations properly could cause serious and unexpected consequences to herself, including transforming into a random animal, magical build-up in her body and cosmic distortion of her physiology, something he doesn’t want to be nearby when it happens. And he says that it is not a big deal for him to learn that kind of magic, since he’s pretty much mastered in real life “movie magic”. Anyway, Z still continues to help me from time to time. Whenever something strange and supernatural occurs, I can always count on her to have my back against those kinds of odds.
Kent Nelson A.K.A. Doctor Fate (Voiced by David Sobolov)
Kent Nelson was chosen by The Lords of Order years ago to become Doctor Fate, a powerful sorcerer whose duty is to guide the destinies and fates of all life in the universe. He retired years ago when he realized that evil has no intention of surrendering, no matter how much he will fight. But years later, he became Doctor Fate again when he was inspired by Superman’s refusal to back down in a fight. With his confidence restored, Fate resumed his mission to guide the fates of the universe, never giving up when fighting against the darkest demons of the world.
Jack Ryder (Voiced by Matthew Mercer)
I don’t even know how to describe Jack Ryder. Apart from being a co-reporter who had no problem taking risks in getting the scoop, Ryder also inhibited a very strange secret: he is a yellow-skinned lunatic superhero named The Creeper. After an encounter with The Joker at Ace Chemicals, Ryder’s skin was bleached, his hair turned green and his mind was warped and twisted, which made him the madman that he is today. He caused chaos throughout the city and gave Joker a hard time until Me and Robin managed to catch and cure him, which is temporary until we can find a permanent cure. But Ryder doesn’t believe that’s really necessary, since he likes his new form. Though The Creeper proves to be just as unpredictable and crazy as The Joker, he’s still done more good as his alter-ego than he did as a reporter. You know, now that I think about it, it seems that half my existence seems to be spent living in a world of comical maniacs. Joker, Harley, Mutatron, Rovette, Mutatia, Creeper, that green-skinned guy from Edge City, they’re all part of the life I live. And sometimes, it’s very tolerable. And makes me unsure who the next zany costumed character might be.
Shiera Hall A.K.A. Hawkgirl (Voiced by Jennifer Hale)
Shiera was one of the Justice League’s most trusted members. Ever since its formation, she always had our back against our enemies. But when she defected from the League to help the Thanagarians invade the planet, only to return after discovering their true intentions, her rep as a hero was badly damaged. Though she was forgiven here on Earth and most of our outside allies, there are still some less merciful figures of authority who still see her as a traitor and a criminal, despite her reform. But nevertheless, Shiera still fights to make this world a better place, and in our view of that, not her people’s.
